Just a moment ago, CBS television news was reporting that Osama Bin Laden is dead. You mean it's taken this long to get around to saying this? I thought everyone knew that Osama has been dead a long time now. If they have retrieved the body, then I guess it's a big win.
Addendum 5/2/11: Well, from all indications, they really got him. They had solid enough information on where Osama was hiding in Abbottabad (right under the noses of the Pakistanis). Then, to his credit, president Obama gave the go ahead for the special Navy Seal Team Six to proceed. I'll leave it to other people who are much better political commentators than myself, such as Richard Fernandez at the Belmont Club, to say anything more about all this.
